BACKGROUND
The 2010 mid-term elections will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2010. On November 2, all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 37 seats in the Senate are up for election.
This weekend, members will adjourn to hit the campaign trail for the next month in their congressional districts and throughout their states.
The American Hellenic Institute has issued its 2010 Congressional Candidate Questionnaire Form to candidates seeking election to the U.S. Congress (both Senate and House of Representatives).
The questionnaire explores issues that are of great importance to the Greek American community that involve U.S. relations with Greece and Cyprus, as well as Southeastern Europe and Eastern Mediterranean region.
AHI will facilitate the distribution of candidates’ responses and positions to the Greek American community.
AHI has asked candidates to return the questionnaire by Monday, October 18, 2010.STATUS
The questionnaire has been mailed to the campaign offices of the candidates from the two major parties (and select independent candidates) who are running for congress.
ACTION
Contact the campaign offices of your congressional candidates and urge them to complete AHI’s Congressional Questionnaire Form.
If a candidate’s office cannot locate or place AHI’s questionnaire, then offer to get a copy of the questionnaire in their hands either via fax, email, or hand delivery.

THE AMERICAN HELLENIC Institute (AHI), was founded on August 1, 1974, following Turkey’s invasion of Cyprus with the illegal use of American-supplied arms in violation of U.S. laws and agreements. The AHI initiated the rule of law issue in the Congress in the interests of the U.S., thus changing the face of American politics. <<<Continue>>>
