AHI Welcomes Greece’s Defense Minister to Hellenic HouseWASHINGTON, DC—Greece’s minister of Defense, Dimitris Avramopoulos, visited American Hellenic Institute’s (AHI’s) Hellenic House on July 30, 2013. “We were honored to welcome Defense Minister Avramopoulos to Hellenic House,” AHI President Nick Larigakis said. “We discussed the purpose of the minister’s current visit to Washington and its importance to relations between the United States and Greece.” Ambassador of Greece to the U.S. Christos Panagopoulos and Col. Evangelos Papadopoulos, defense attaché, embassy of Greece accompanied the defense minister. AHI President Larigakis and AHI Legislative Assistant Georgea Polizos met with Minister Avramopoulos.
