AHI Welcomes New Cypriot Ambassador to U.S. to Hellenic HouseWASHINGTON, DC — Cyprus’s new ambassador to the United States, George Chacalli, visited American Hellenic Institute’s (AHI’s) Hellenic House on July 15, 2013. “We were honored to welcome Ambassador Chacalli to Hellenic House,” AHI President Nick Larigakis said. “We discussed recent developments in Cyprus, and we look forward to working with him and the embassy staff on issues of mutual interest. We wish Ambassador Chacalli the best in his new post.” AHI Founder Gene Rossides and legal counsel and board member, Nick Karambelas, joined AHI President Larigakis for the meeting with Ambassador Chacalli. Ambassador Chacalli will be presenting his credentials to President Barack Obama on July 24, 2013.
