AHI Joins Other Greek American Organizations In Placing a One Page AD in the Washington Times Featuring an Open Letter to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice Regarding FYROMWASHINGTON, DC—February 15th—On the occasion of the visit of Greece’s Foreign Minister, Dora Bakoyanni, to Washington D.C. to meet with U.S. Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, the American Hellenic Institute joined with other Greek-American organizations in placing a one-page ad in the Washington Times. The ad featured an open letter to Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice regarding the FYROM name issue. The organizations and representatives signing the letter were: for the Hellenic American National Council, Emmanuel Velivasakis, President and Theodore Spyropoulos, Honorary President; on behalf of the Pan-Macedonian Association, Nina Gatzoulis, Supreme President; and for American Hellenic Institute, Gene Rossides and Nick Larigakis.
